Pumpkin Patch Excursion with Families!
In October, we went on a pumpkin patch excursion and our families were invited! Prior to out school trip, the children had been learning about the community contributor - the Farmer. The children had learned that farmers help grow our foods! The children had also learned the basic needs of a plant and their parts. We were able to witness first hand the harvest that farmers collect once the vegetables (in this case it was pumpkins, gourds, and squash) were ready for picking. The children experienced what a farm looks like, and even have a real like farmer , teach them a little bit about what they do.
Our parents were invited to chaperone on the excursion, and many of our children were able to share this unforgettable moment with a loved one from home!
